Integrated optics lab

Summary:

Design, characterization and applications of optical waveguides in active materials.
The objective is to develop compact devices such as lasers, modulators and sensors

Techniques:

Waveguide coupling (dark modes and end coupling), propagation losses, near field imaging, fluorescence

Principal equipment:

End coupling system, prism coupler, 1 W and 5 W diode lasers at 808 nm, He-Ne lasers, optical spectrum analyzer, monochromator, holographic table.
