María del Socorro Hernández Montes received her B.S. in Electronics and Communications Engineering from the Universidad Iberoamericana, Campus León, México, with a thesis entitled “Control Interface between a PC and a Robot Arm”, and her MS and PhD in Optical Sciences at the Center for Research in Optics A.C – CIO, León Guanajuato, México, with the development of theses “Pulsed digital holography applied to detection of inhomogeneities in living cells” and “Pulsed digital holography applied to the localization of biological tissues immersed in soft materials; a new alternative optical method”, respectively. She held a Pre- Doctoral stay at the University of Vigo, Spain with the project: Pulsed TV holography or ESPI wave detection in semi-solid materials. Her Post-Doctoral from the Worcester Polytechnic Institute, MA, USA, in collaboration with Massachusetts Eye & Infirmary (MEEI) / Harvard Medical School, Boston, MA, developing the project: Computer-Based Holography and Middle-Ear Function. From 2009 she help the position of Research Professor at the Center for Research in Optics A.C.—CIO, in optical metrology group.
