Haggeo Desirena received his MsC in Optics from Center for Research in Optics (CIO) in León Gto. In 2006, he started his doctoral studies and spent one and half year in The College of Optical Sciences in The University of Arizona and in 2010 received his Ph.D.  He worked for 15 months in a postdoctoral position at CREOL, The College of Optics and Photonics in The University of Central Florida, where he was involved in the development of solar fiber laser. Since 2012 he is a researcher at CIO.

Research Interests:

My interests are the research and development of new material luminescent. In particular, the fabrication and optical, spectroscopic and physical characterization of rare earth doped phosphate, tellurite and fluorotellurite for active application including lasers in IR and visible light by upconversion and downconversion. The design of bismuth-tellurite and niobate-tellurite glasses for nonlinear applications. Development of new and highly efficient glass ceramic.
