Personal information:
Geminiano Martinez-Ponce received a Physicist degree from the Universidad Veracruzana in Mexico in 1997 and a Ph. D. degree from the Centro de Investigaciones en Optica in Mexico in 2001. He joined the Centro de Investigaciones en Optica in 2002 as a Research Technician. During 2003, Dr. Martinez-Ponce was a postdoctoral fellow in the Central Laboratory of Optical Storage and Processing of Information in Bulgaria. In 2006, he was promoted to Senior Research Scientist.

- Optical characterization and applications of advanced organic materials
- Micro- and Nanopatterning by two-photon absorption polymerization
- Propagation of polarized light through biological tissue
