Dr. Bernardo Mendoza Santoyo

Got his bachelors in Physics at the Autonomois Metropilitan U. in 1984 and the Ph. D. at SUNY-Buffalo in 1989. Did a postdoctoral fellowship at the Condensed Matter group of Indiana U. at Bloomington from 1989 to 1991. since 1991 is a researcher at the Optical Research Center in León, México. Did research visits to U. of Rome II (sabatical year 1997-1998), Nijmegen U. (Holland) and U. of Texas at Austin. His work concentrates in the linear and non-linear optical phenomena at metallic and semiconducting surfaces and interfaces, where he has developed both microscopic and phenemenological models that explain several experimental results obtained by different international groups.
