About OFS-18
For over 20 years, The Optical Fiber Sensors (OFS) Conference has provided an exciting forum for reporting the latest technological advances and milestones in fiber optic and guided-wave sensing technology and related devices, as well as fostered the exchange of knowledge and ideas within the research and industrial communities. This conference series is held every 18 months, in rotating venues, throughout North America, Europe and Asia. The eighteenth edition of OFS will be held October 23-27, 2006 in Cancún, México. We have chosen México to be the host country for OFS-18 as a way to reinforce the international character of the event, while offering a new and exciting setting to meet and socialize. This is the first time OFS has been held in Latin America, opening up a new geographical door to the fiber sensing community. The conference will offer invited and contributed paper presentations--both in oral and poster sessions--special workshops, a commercial product exhibit, as well as social and cultural events.
